What is Boudoir Photography All About?
Boudoir is a French word meaning a lady’s salon, a retreat, where a woman can withdraw to be alone. At its core, boudoir photography is an intimate exploration of self-expression and body positivity. It provides a safe space for individuals to shed societal expectations and embrace their bodies exactly as they are. The process involves collaborating with a boudoir photographer who specializes in capturing the essence of your true self, creating a narrative that unfolds through each carefully curated image. Embarking on a boudoir photoshoot is an opportunity to break free from self-doubt and rediscover your inner strength. Traditionally, boudoir shoots would take place in a bedroom. This is still generally true. In recent years, however, there has been a trend to shoot “beach boudoir” which involves the intimate and sensual style of boudoir photography with the natural and serene backdrop of a beach. What is Fitness Photography All About?
The goal of fitness photography is to showcase the subjects in a way that highlights their strength, athleticism, and dedication to a healthy lifestyle. Fitness photographers often work with athletes, fitness models, or everyday individuals who are passionate about fitness. Aside from gym shoots, these shoots generally occur outside at the beach or in other natural settings to maximize the aesthetic of the images. Boudoir and Fitness Photography Process
- Consultation:
Unveil your boudoir or fitness photography vision in a personalized consultation. We will discuss your goals, posing, wardrobe, style, and comfort levels to ensure a tailored experience. Once your date is booked, we will send you a guide with plenty of tips to prepare for your photo session. - The Shoot:
Step into the spotlight during your empowering boudoir or fitness session. There is no experience needed! Lacie is an expert in posing and will guide you to ensure you look your best in each and every shot. Accordingly, Lacie will capture your unique beauty with professionalism, making you feel confident and celebrated. - Photo Reveal:
The fun doesn’t end when we stop shooting! It’s time for your photo reveal session. Now you get to see, ooh and ahh over your beautiful images on the big screen of our studio, your home, or in some cases, over zoom. These images will be minimally edited. At this time, we will work together to select images that you absolutely love and select any products that you may want to order, such as an album or fine art print. - Retouching:
Once you’ve ordered and paid for your images and products, we begin the retouching process. Professional photo retouching is included in you photography session. We specialize in artistic retouching and the most comprehensive, detailed editing. We are not here to change you into something you’re not. While we focus to create a natural look, ultimately how much we enhance is up to you. We are passionate about creating stunning images that capture your individuality and natural beauty. - Delivery of Images:
Once retouching is completed, your digital images and an ETA on print products will be sent to you via email. Print products will be sent you via mail.
